I was a little bit sad that they got rid of the carrier instead of trying to fix it. and I think Blizzard really wants this "hero unit" thing to work, although I don't think it will... The new units seem interesting. I like the oracle and the swarm host. the new hellions could be cool. The warhound looks a lot like the goliath though...I would have preferred they just called it a goliath...of course everything's not even in beta yet so a lot could change. |
Yeah, the warhound looks really derpy in my opinion. I'm hoping it gets a model update at least. I think I would also prefer that they just bring back the goliath. After all, the unit model's already there from the campaign, and goliaths could easily serve the same function. I am sad about no more mass thors too... Some of the new zerg stuff sounds really OP right now. Banelings that can move while burrowed (even if it is tier 3)? Ultras with a burrow charge attack (no more using infantry against late-game zerg, period)? The ability to grant detection abilities to any unit? The detection thing will make any kind of cloaked/burrowed mineral line harassment against zerg practically useless. Just give detection to a drone, then burrow that drone when you get DT'd, banshee'd, or infestor'd. |
I agree with you about the "giving cloak" ability. It seems stupidly powerful and shuts down so many avenues of harassment. However, I think the moving Banelings should be easily countered, if it is Tier 3, like you said. By that time detection will be pretty easy to come by. Also, I'll admit that I'm glad Terran can't just mass Tier 1 units anymore. That was the whole issue with Zerg complaining about the Protoss death ball. They wanted to mass Tier 1 and Tier 2 units against our Tier 3 Colossus. Ultralisks, as Tier 3, should be able to threaten the Terran Tier 1 haha. |
